MacTavish West is seriously in the running for this award at the State Level.

‘Scratch and Sniff’ Lily labels

‘Scratch and Sniff’ Lily labels

Winchester Growers is the UK’s major producer of scented flowers for the cut flower market. To promote a specific variety for Mother’s Day in Waitrose supermarkets, a ‘Scratch and Sniff’ label was desired. MacTavish:West and a leading natural perfumer assessed the organoleptic fragrance profile* from cv Pandora and then worked with fragrance houses across Europe to develop a synthetic fragrance blend which evoked the natural fragrance. This was then formulated into a print varnish, and after 7 iterations: Voila! Scratch and Sniff Pandora labels ready for launch in-store, at a price that worked even at high volumes.

*Organoleptic Profile:A warm exotic base with a ripe fruit (melon) middle and a topnote of muguet and violet; very balanced and well rounded.’

"Tasty Feedback"

Hazel is the interface between the science base & the market, and has secured assessment of products via her European contacts. I have been impressed with Hazels' interpretation of detailed results and translation of research outcomes into commercially attractive propositions.
