‘We were faced with a tightly-priced fragrance brief with a naturals-only stipulation. It was clear that we needed to bring in some new raw materials and ideas. We contacted Dr Mactavish-West who came to our site to meet with our technical and commercial teams.  At the meeting she suggested a unique novel natural raw material that we had previously not seen.  Within two weeks we had samples and a commercial quote.  The material was excellent; it was cheaper than the material that we had identified and due to its unusual component profile the amount we needed was approximately 25% of that of our original raw material, formulations worked well and we were able to produce exactly the right note in our material.
